Southampton are confident closing a deal for Manchester United fullback Brandon Williams.
The Athletic reports Southampton are close to completing a season-long loan deal for Williams.
The two Premier League clubs are said to have held talks but a loan fee is yet to be agreed on.
Williams has long been linked with a move to St Mary's, with it reported that Ralph Hasenhuttl and co have tried to bring the tenacious defender to the south coast twice before.
Following a season largely on the peripheries of the Red Devils' first team, Williams could be playing regular top-flight football next term.
