Manchester United are edging closer to closing a deal for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
While new Real coach Carlo Ancelotti wants the 2018 World Cup winner to stay put, no renewal looks in sight. Varane's current deal expires in less than a year.
And Diario AS journalist Edu Cornago reports a deal taking Varane to Old Trafford is now 'very close' to being completed this summer.
The Varane-United agreement is very close to being produced," he posted to social media.
