Manchester City left back Benjamin Mendy admits confidence is high at the club.
The Premier League champions are set to defend their title, but first must navigate a Community Shield clash against Leicester City on the weekend.
Mendy, who has been involved in all three of the club's preseason friendlies, spoke after the 4-1 win over Blackpool on Tuesday night.
"It was a nice game – the last one before the Community Shield Final," Mendy said post-game, per the club's website.
"It was great and we are happy to have won the game.
"We did well – we worked a lot on the tactics of the manager. Every player is feeling good. We are happy."
"I feel sharp, I feel good," he added on his own form.
"We need to keep going like that for the rest of the season."
