PSG signing Lionel Messi told his former Barcelona teammates - including some no longer with the club - that he would be leaving via Whatsapp.
Former Barca midfielder Victor Vazquez has revealed Messi is part of a Whatsapp group of past and present Barca players.
And journalist Veronica Brunati has reported how Messi broke the news that he would be leaving.
Knowing he would be departing, Messi texted: "I don't want to go. No more could be done, there is no money. The club is very bad and they cannot renew me."
Messi signed a two-year contract with PSG on Tuesday.
