Burnley are closing in on the signature of Aaron Lennon.

The 34-year-old winger, who was at the club for two and a half years, left in June 2020.

Per talkSPORT, Lennon is now close to re-signing with the Premier League club after impressing in a behind closed door friendly with Manchester United.

The Clarets lost the game 3-1, but Lennon was their only scorer.

It is unclear if Lennon will be a regular starter given his age, but manager Sean Dyche may feel his experience offers a different option off the bench.
