Real Madrid fullback Alvaro Odriozola is delighted with his move to Fiorentina.
Odriozola joins in a straight loan for the season.
“The truth is that I am very happy to be here, in an historic club like Fiorentina," the Spaniard told the club website.
“I am really eager to get started and I am absolutely certain it will be a great season. I want to get to know a city like Florence, which everyone told me is marvellous, and our fans.
“I already talked to Jose Callejon, who is a great person as well as a player, and he spoke very highly of the city and club."
Odriozola has chosen the Number 29 jersey for Fiorentina this season and it is a very specific request.
“This is a very special number for me, because I debuted with Real Sociedad my hometown club with the 29 and it was a magnificent season.
“In Spain you can only usually choose numbers up to 25, so I am happy to be able to pick 29 here in Florence. I am sure it'll be just as good a season."
