Spartak Moscow have confirmed West Ham United made an attempt for Alex Kral last week.
It's emerged the Hammers had an offer for the Czech Republic midfielder rejected by Spartak over the weekend.
Asked about the Irons, the club's comms chief Dmitry Zelenov told Sport-Express: “The club has offers for the employment of some footballers. The one you mentioned exists as one of the options, although the details are different.
"But in any case, we will officially report everything on our resources (media channels)."
Kral has a deal with Spartak to 2024.
