Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has no doubts about the importance of their Carabao Cup win against Nottingham Forest.
Gibbs-White believes Tuesday night's win will have an significant impact on the rest of the 2021/22 campaign, beginning with a return to Premier League action against Manchester United on Sunday at Molineux.
He told the club's website: “It's massive because we went away from the two Premier League games we've already had feeling we deserved at least a point, if not three points.
“But to come into this game, wanting to win, and play the way we did and get the win, it's a good feeling.
“Fair play to Nottingham because in the first-half, they made it tough for us, but we kept the ball, kept it moving from left to right, tried to find gaps, but they made it tough for us.
“I felt in the second-half, we broke them down a bit and the quality showed – we started playing and scoring goals.
“But I feel this game is massive for us to take into the weekend."
