Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is ready to keep hold of Joe Willock.

The Daily Express says Arsenal have decided they want to keep Willock after rejecting a new offer from Newcastle.

Newcastle want to re-sign Willock following his hugely successful loan spell at St James' Park last season. The 21-year-old scored eight Premier League goals for the Magpies, netting in his last seven appearances for the club.

Willock has two years remaining on his Arsenal contract and is back with the Gunners for pre-season.

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce has repeatedly stated his desire to bring the midfielder back to the club.
