Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere feels fans must be patient with the young team manager Mikel Arteta is building.
Wilshere believes the group of young talent is as good as it's ever been since he came through the ranks into the first team in 2008.
But the one key difference is the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe don't have a Cesc Fabregas or a Robin van Persie to help them take on this greater level of responsibility that they have now adopted.
He told The Athletic: “There's a good group of young players, which I feel is probably the best since me, Aaron Ramsey and Kieran Gibbs came through. These players need a few years.
“The difference is, I came into a team of world-class players and they really helped me: Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie, Samir Nasri. They were all brilliant and I could learn from them.
“That's why it's going to take a bit more time because there is more responsibility on these young players."
