Spartak Moscow have turned down an approach from West Ham for Alex Kral.
Sport-Express says West Ham have sounded out Spartak about taking the midfielder on-loan for the season.
But Spartak have rejected the approach.
West Ham were prepared to include a permanent option in the deal, but Spartak found their terms to trigger the clause unrealistic.
The Irons are expected to try again for Kral before the market shuts.
