Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher is impressed by Brighton defender Adam Webster's early season form.

Carragher singled out centre half Webster for his influential role in Brighton's 2-0 win over Watford in which the 26-year-old displayed his defensive qualities but also in possession through his passing and ability to drive forward with the ball from the back to support the Seagulls attack.

Speaking on Monday Night Football, Carragher said: "Adam Webster really stuck out for me. All the back players - I actually think Lewis Dunk is underrated in terms of him on the ball as well - they can play.

"They have to play from the back if they want to play for this [Brighton] team. Most centre backs now, coming through or playing in the Premier League you have to be good on the ball and that was a real standout in the game, that's what stood out for me."
