Manchester United are prepared to keep hold of Diogo Dalot this season.
The Manchester Evening News says Dalot, 22, returned to the club from a season-long loan with AC Milan last month and came on in the friendly fixtures with Brentford and Everton, scoring in the latter.
United are considering a late window move for Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier and Milan approached United about re-signing Dalot on a second season-long loan in June.
However, United rejected Milan's approach as their preference would be to recruit a midfielder ahead of a full-back and Dalot has received positive feedback from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his coaching staff.
Dalot is believed to be pleased with the opportunities he has had in pre-season and is confident of providing worthy competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
