AC Milan have received little encouragement from Manchester United for Diogo Dalot.
After last season's successful loan, Milan have maintained contact with United this summer about a new arrangement.
Tuttosport says United are resisting the Rossonero's attempts - without ever shutting the door completely.
Milan are prepared to make a first proposal of a 12 month loan for a fee of €5m plus a permanent option.
However, everything is likely to hinge on United's pursuit of Atletico Madrid fullback Kieran Trippier.
