Newcastle United have put Sean Longstaff up for sale.
The Daily Mail says interested clubs have been quoted an asking price of £10m for the midfielder.
The midfielder's contract expires next summer and the club risk losing him on a free transfer if he remains beyond this window. He turns 24 in October and so they would no longer be due compensation.
Everton boss Rafa Benitez - who gave Longstaff his senior debut at Newcastle - is interested in taking him to Goodison Park.
Southampton's recruitment hierarchy are also keen, although manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is said to prefer a centre-back as his priority.
