Jack Grealish had a message for Manchester City fans after their Community Shield defeat to Leicester City.
The former Aston Villa captain was lively in his 25-minute cameo, with Leicester paying close attention to him whenever he got on the ball.
His debut didn't end as he hoped, however, as Leicester scored a late penalty to take the win and ensure Grealish didn't begin his City career with a trophy.
However, Grealish took to social media after the game to describe the honour of making his City debut as he praised the Blues faithful for their rousing reception when he was introduced.
He wrote: "A disappointing result today but an absolute honour to make my debut for this club and thank you to the fans for the lovely reception!"
Now looking ahead to the Premier League opener with Tottenham on Sunday, Grealish added that he's looking forward to his next run-out with his new teammates as he said: "Can't wait for next weekend!"
