Chelsea striker Timo Werner is delighted playing for Germany coach Hansi Flick.
The coach's relationship with Werner is positive, with reports suggesting the former Bayern Munich coach was keen to bring the striker to Bavaria before his switch to Stamford Bridge last summer.
"I was very happy that he became our new coach because of course it's an advantage if I know someone comes along who doesn't think I'm too bad at all," stated Werner.
"I think things can go in a very good direction with him. We didn't talk about the past but we are happy to be able to work together now.
"In the first game, I was able to show with my goal that it wasn't a very bad idea to let me play."
