Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku says he'll cut out sliding on his knees when celebrating goals.

Lukaku helped guide the Blues to a 3-0 win over Aston Villa to go level on points with Manchester United at the Premier League summit.

Despite his dominant performance, many viewers aimed jokes at the Belgium international after his opener due to a failed knee slide celebration.

After giving Chelsea the early lead, Lukaku wheeled away and kissed the badge several times in front of the fans.

Once he reached the corner flag, he attempted a knee slide with his arms wide but tumbled to the ground, much to the amusement of those watching.

Lukaku took to Twitter on Sunday morning to address his botched celebration, suggesting he'll never attempt a knee slide again.

"No more sliding on my knees after yesterday's celebration…" he wrote.
