Manchester City's Cole Palmer scored on his debut while Rhian Brewster got his first England Under-21 goal in a 2-0 win over Kosovo.

In what was Lee Carlsley's first game in charge, the Young Lions kicked off their Euro 2023 with a convincing victory.

Sheffield United striker Brewster opened the scoring from the penalty spot after he was fouled with 10 minutes on the clock.

Palmer made it 2-0 after 26 minutes with a delightful solo goal.

Crystal Palace midfielder Conor Gallagher, on loan from Chelsea, came closest to a third for England but his shot was blocked.
