Brighton boss Graham Potter is full of praise for Alex Mac Allister over his early season form.

Mac Allister scored the winner after going on as substitute on the opening day at Burnley.

He made an impact again off the bench at Brentford on Saturday, playing a big part in Leandro Trossard's late goal as Albion staged a big finish.

Potter said: “I have no doubts about Alexis's character or his personality.

“He is desperate to help the team.

“Obviously, like anybody, he is disappointed to not play but he reacts in a really good way.

“He is a fantastic example of how to be professional and we can't just have 11 players.

“We are going to needs subs, we are going to need people who can come off the bench and help.

“He contributed to the three points so fantastic for him – I'm really pleased."
