Brighton boss Graham Potter was delighted with Leandro Trossard's 90th minute winner at Brentford.

The Belgian struck after good work by substitute Alexis Mac Allister to seal a 1-0 victory at newly promoted Brentford.

“It's a fantastic start to the season and I am so pleased for the players and for the supporters that came," he said.

Graham Potter's three substitutes Jakub Moder, Solly March and Alexis Mac Allister all played a role in the winning goal.

“It was a hard fought match. You can see the quality that Brentford bring and the enthusiasm and belief in what they do, as they've obviously had success doing it.

“In the first half they were the better team. We were okay but we had to dig in which we did. We grew into the game in the second half and we wore them down a little bit. It was a great goal - 1-0 wins away from home are fantastic."

Potter switched to a 4-4-2 in the second half after Adam Webster went off with an injury and as a result Albion had a lot more of the ball.

“It was an enforced but switching to a four meant we could have another body closer to their defenders. Generally the players played better in the second half with more control which is not easy to do against Brentford because of the atmosphere and the intensity of the opposition."
