Chelsea striker Timo Werner enjoyed a mixed outing for Germany in their 4-0 win over Iceland.

The centre-forward has endured a difficult 12 months from a personal perspective, with his goal scoring form dipping compared to his time with RB Leipzig.

Werner was left red-faced after missing another sitter in the clash against Iceland, but redeemed himself with a late strike in Germany's rout.

When Lukas Klostermann squared the ball to Werner, it looked easier for him to find the back of the net.

But Werner somehow contrived to miss, hitting his effort over the bar from roughly six yards out.

But fortunately for the Blues forward, he did get a late strike to spare his blushes.
