Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi admits he felt for the fans after their home defeat to Real Madrid.

Rodrygo scored the winner in the 89th minute after a superb performance from visiting goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

"We had to pay more attention, there was a minute to go," Inzaghi said. “Let's look ahead, let's think about how we held our ground against Real Madrid.

“I asked the team for personality and courage, which we had. But we faced a goalkeeper who was difficult to beat.

“I'm sorry for the club, the fans and the players who gave everything. Against these teams you cannot lower your concentration, but playing like this, I'm confident we will qualify."
