Liverpool U23 coach Marc Bridge-Wilkinson hailed Harvey Davies' performance for their UEFA Youth League defeat of AC Milan.
After the 1-0 win, Bridge-Wilkinson admits his team - with Milan legend Paolo Maldini watching on - were indebted to an inspired performance from 18-year-old goalkeeper Davies to ensure the victory.
"Harvey made some really important saves," he said. "Sometimes keepers at Liverpool at the Academy perhaps don't always get the plaudits they deserve but he definitely does after that performance.
"We had opportunities and threatened a little bit, but it's obvious Milan created more chances and some really good ones at that.
"We rode our luck at times but we defended resolutely and the lads stuck at it. I'm really proud of that."
