Inter Milan GM Beppe Marotta says the club's owners deserve greater respect.
The Zhang family have been hammered for the departure of Scudetto winning coach Antonio Conte and key players Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi as their Suning company went into financial meltdown.
However, Inter are in good shape under new coach Simone Inzaghi and Marotta says: “There is certainly a great deal of affection towards these club colours and that is positive, because it means Inter will be never be alone.
“On the other hand, we have owners who invested hundreds of millions of Euros and in the logical contraction of the market everyone had to reconsider their investments.
“However, and I want to be very clear about this, as of today Inter are perfectly calm. We can go forward without worries.
“We cannot make huge investments, but we can go on without problems. Everyone needs to find a more sustainable model of football management.
“The Zhang family invested a great deal so we can continue to win and I think we owe them respect."
