Hungary manager Marco Rossi says his team will do everything in their power to stop England in their World Cup qualifier on Thursday.

The Three Lions will be in Budapest for their first competitive game since losing the Euro 2020 final on penalties against Italy.

Rossi's Hungary also competed in the tournament, paired in the 'Group of Death' alongside France, Germany and Portugal.

After a loss to Portugal in their opening game, Hungary secured draws with France and Germany, but it was not enough to advance to the knockout stage.

Looking towards the future, Rossi has his energy focused on qualifying for the World Cup 2022.

To get there, they will have to overcome top teams like England, and Rossi has acknowledged how difficult that will be.

Asked what he expects from the match, Rossi told Tribalfootball.com: "Playing against England means playing against one of the best teams in the world.

"They can count on all players who can play as starters in all the top clubs in the world. We have analyzed and studied them, but honestly they have no weak spots, it is a very strong team in every aspect, the physical one, the mental one, the technical one, the tactical one.

"They are unbeatable in the aerial game, dangerous with every free kick they have. Difficult to find weak spots. Great respect, utmost consideration, but we will try our best to make things for them as complicated as possible."

When quizzed on how he felt about Euro2020, Rossi added: "Two months have passed, my feelings and those of my players are the same.

"We have the knowledge that we have made at least a good impression in front of our fans, who are not ashamed of us, but we also regret not being able to reach a qualification that would have been historic, an incredible result that we missed for a bunch of minutes."

Hungary currently sit second in Group I after three matches, having drawn with Poland and beat San Marino and Andorra.

They will also play Albania and Andorra during this international break.
