Spain's World Cup qualifying is back on track after victory over Georgia.

Spain routed Georgia in Badajoz to go top of Group B in World Cup 2022 qualifying, although they are only a point ahead of Sweden, who have two games in hand.

Jose Gaya opened the scoring in the 14th minute and Carlos Soler continued his fine form by netting the second in the 25th.

Ferran Torres made it three before half-time and then Pablo Sarabia rounded off the rout in the 63rd minute. It could have been more, with VAR ruling out two Spain strikes.

It was a better performance than against Sweden on Thursday in Solna, where Luis Enrique's team lost.
