Brentford captain Pontus Jansson has no regrets retiring from international football.
The Swede says the thought of turning out for the national team no longer excites him.
The former Leeds stopper told SVT: "I do not know. It just gets silly when I stopped a few months ago. But I have not thought in those lanes. I do not think so. But the last thing Janne said to me this summer was that I could always call if I wanted to join again.
"Honestly, no. I have already experienced one World Cup and two European Championships. I loved the national team, but I do not have the feeling in my stomach about national team football that I have about club football.
"I do not know if it is me who is unique or stupid, but I do not get butterflies in the stomach for the national team anymore. I have to be honest."
