Elche and Levante played out a 1-1 draw at Estadio Martínez Valero on Saturday.
Elche were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run, following a 1-0 victory against Getafe. Levante, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match.
It was an impressive opening from Elche, with a goal from Lucas Perez in the 33rd minute, ending the first half 1-0.
Levante started the second half with an intensified spirit, thanks to a goal from Jose Luis Morales in the 55th minute, leaving the final score at 1-1.
Following the result, Elche and Levante currently occupy 10th and 14th spots in the table, with 6 points and 4 points respectively after 5 matches.
