Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea says defeat at home to Aston Villa wasn't good enough.
A late goal from Kortney Hause secured the visitors all three points at Old Trafford as the Reds fell to a first defeat of the Premier League campaign.
"It's a very disappointing day for us," De Gea told club media.
"I think there's no excuses today. We play at home, with confidence. If we want to win big trophies like the Premier League, [we need to win] these types of games."
He continued: "Yeah, I tried to make saves, always help the team.
"Big saves but at the end we concede from a set-piece and I saw the replay again and probably it's offside. He was very close to me. Again, that happens. I don't know, it's a disappointing result and a hard one to take. Now we have to be ready for the next one."
The shot-stopper believes United created enough chances to win the game but did not want to put any blame on Bruno Fernandes, who missed a penalty in injury time.
"He's very confident, he took the ball, so we believe a lot in him," De Gea said about our Portuguese star.
"It's just a penalty. It's a bad kick and that happens. It's a normal thing, this is football. He's going to be the same, a top player, so it's totally fine."
