Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino is facing an assessment on a hamstring injury.

The centre-forward went for scans after the Reds' 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League, having come off before half-time in the game.

Firmino is likely to be out for a few weeks per the Liverpool Echo.

That makes him a doubt for their game with Leeds United in the Premier League on September 12, along with their Champions League group phase clash against AC Milan three days later.

The Reds will have a spell of seven games in 22 games, and manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping Firmino is back to full fitness soon.
