Brentford have reached the Carabao Cup quarter-finals for the second successive season with a win over Stoke City.

Sergi Canos broke the deadlock after 22 minutes thanks to an assist from Ivan Toney.

Toney then got on the scoresheet when he slotted home from 12 yards out for his third goal of the season.

Romaine Sawyers pulled one back for Stoke, who knocked out Watford in the previous round, but they were unable to tie things up.

The Bees will learn their quarter-final opponent when the draw takes place on Saturday.
