Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy admits his side needs to keep winning games by a narrow margin if they want to win the Premier League.
The Blues rode their luck and were indebted to a few outstanding saves from Mendy against Brentford in the league on Saturday.
Mendy, who put in one of his best displays since signing for the club at the start of last season, knows Chelsea cannot be at their best every game and must find a way to win nonetheless.
He told the club's website: "We have shown a lot of character recently to win close games. There is always a lot of physical intensity in the Premier League and we have responded each time.
"A team that wants to be at the top of the league all season has to has to sometimes find a way to win games, and we have done that."
