Everton boss Rafa Benitez insists Manchester United's changes yesterday didn't make much difference.

United made five changes coming into this match including the decision to leave Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench for the clash.

However, Benitez was expecting that, and he didn't believe it affected the quality the hosts had on display.

"We more or less knew before it could be something like that," he said.

"But honestly, they changed five players and I don't see a big difference."
