Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has hailed fellow former Arsenal keeper Lukasz Fabianski as 'special' after he played his last game for Poland on Saturday.

The West Ham keeper played in Poland's win over San Marino.

Szczesny said on Instagram: “Łukasz, our long journey together… you once, me once, and so on, but today is yours only.

“And although your modesty will not allow you to admit it, know that you were special for this team, just as the competition with you was special for me.

“Thank you for every moment together and for being motivated to work hard!

“P.S As every year for 16 years, on April 18 I am waiting for the news."
