Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg says victory over Aston Villa was a big one for the players.
The Dane admits they needed to prove to themselves they were good enough with the win.
“It was an important win, an acceptable performance and nice to feel some good energy in terms of being able to bring the crowd with us, we really felt that," he told the club's website.
“We had to show it. We had to show how much we care and how much we want it, and I think in a big part of it today we showed that.
“I was very pleased with the way we responded to 1-1. We went forward, played out from the back... Sonny today, he did brilliantly with two assists and running behind them. He did really well, created two fantastic goals for us.
“In the past weeks the frustration has been growing. But when you come into this stadium, these surroundings, this arena and you step in and how the crowd responds, it's impossible not to feel ready for the fight. We stood up and I'm happy we got the win. We needed that. Now we need to go forward, to push forward."
