The former Borussia Dortmund winger has battled for consistency since the start of the season. Sancho has failed to score or assist a single goal so far.
The Athletic says Solskjaer is working hard with Sancho behind the scenes in order to improve the forward's form.
The Norwegian has told the club's No 25 to 'be himself', while also encoring him to commit defenders.
And Solskjaer has also instructed Sancho to 'take risks' in order to get the forward back to his devastating best.
