Aston Villa boss Dean Smith expects goalkeeper Emi Martinez to be back in time for their clash with West Ham.
Martinez has rushed back to his native Argentina to visit his father in hospital after a family emergency.
The keeper flew out to be at his dad's bedside, and posted a photo of himself there on his Instagram account. Thankfully, the group looked to be in good spirits with Alberto posing for the camera with a thumbs up.
This morning, Smith reported he expects Martinez to be back in the country in time for Sunday's late afternoon clash with West Ham.
Smith is eager to see a response from his side this weekend. "We had a really poor first half against Arsenal, we changed it up at half-time and got a response.
"We need a response now against West Ham. Three games ago we were off the back of winning at Old Trafford for the first time in 12 years."
