Cristiano Ronaldo has urged Manchester United to silence their critics against Atalanta on Wednesday.

The Red Devils are in a dismal run of form having won just two of their last seven games.

36-year-old Ronaldo, signed from Juventus in the summer, copped a significant amount of criticism after Saturday's 4-2 loss to Leicester City.

And the Portuguese superstar wants his team to prove their doubters wrong in the Champions League this week.

"Our time is coming!" Ronaldo wrote on Instagram.

"We have to show what we are made of and the Champions League is the perfect competition to prove ourselves to the world.

"No excuses! Let's go!"
