Manchester United are in the midst of preparing a January clear-out.

The Red Devils, who have endured a poor start to the season in all competitions under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, wish to trim their squad.

Underperforming fringe players and wantaway stars may be shown the door, per The Sun.

Donny van de Beek is one who wishes to leave for more game time, as does Jesse Lingard.

Anthony Martial is another who could leave, while Victor Lindelof is second choice behind Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane in central defense.

Phil Jones is likely to be the final player to depart.
