Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is delighted with his France breakthrough.

Thanks to his form on-loan with Olympique Marseille, Guendouzi has been involved in the last two France squads.

He told Onze Mundial: “Being there, I tell myself I'm very lucky, it rewards all the work done since I was very young. I want to write a story with the France team. It's already very good to be there, I'm very happy, but I want to line up as many caps as possible, play, bring something to this team and be part of the long term.

"I have accumulated a lot of caps among the youth teams, I was a captain in particular. I have a very good relationship with the France team in general. It is really a pride to be there and to wear this jersey.

"If I haven't played yet, it's because I still have work to do while being close. Because to find yourself on the bench, it's still complicated. My turn will come with work. I trust."
