St Etienne striker Denis Bouanga is happy seeing Matteo Guendouzi succeed with Olympique Marseille.
Guendouzi is on-loan at OM from Arsenal.
The midfielder played with Bouanga as a France youth international and the striker said: "Matteo is first and foremost a great player and a real competitor who hates to lose. I obviously followed his career, always happy to see that he managed to play in clubs as prestigious as Arsenal or Hertha Berlin.
"And I'm happy for him that he signs for OM. With (Jorge) Sampaoli, of course, he will get along well because we have the same approach, the same desire to win all the time.
"Matteo releases a lot of energy, and with maturity, he will explode this season in L1. He will flourish there. He told me that he was ready to move to Marseille."
