Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti can understand James Rodriguez leaving Everton for Al Rayyan.
James boasted a respectable six goals and five assists during his one and only Premier League season with the Blues.
However, his departure seemed somewhat inevitable after Ancelotti left Everton and was replaced by Rafa Benitez.
Appearing as a guest on ESPN Fútbol Colombia, Ancelotti was asked whether Rodriguez made the correct call to leave the club and delivered an honest response.
“What a question!", exclaimed the Real Madrid boss.
"I don't know. I think the important thing for him is to play, that he is well and that he can show his quality," he said.
