Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel says assistant manager Arno Michels was key to their Champions League win at Malmo.

Tuchel says Michels' tactical intervention at halftime led to the 1-0 win.

Michels suggested a swap of the wing-backs for Chelsea, Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

"All credit must go to my assistant. He got the idea during the break, and we liked it, because we could thus get two right-legged on the right side and two left-legged on the left side," Tuchel said.

"We felt in the first half that we lost important seconds when we got behind their low five-back chain and Hakim or Callum might have to stop and check back to get the ball over with his strong leg.

"This meant that Malmö FF could manage to close the space we created. But we could avoid that by switching.

"That's how we scored when we got through and Callum was fortunately able to hit it precisely enough to Ziyech. But all credit must go to my assistant for that change."
