A source close to the player told L'Equipe he will agree to new terms so long as these make him the highest earner in the Premier League.
This will require the Red Devils to hand Pogba a deal worth in excess of £500,000 per week, which is veteran superstar Ronaldo's current salary.
However, the former Juventus star's lofty ambitions have been dealt a major blow by his latest injury concern.
Pogba hobbled away from a France training session on Monday and reports across the Channel warn he will be out for eight to 10 weeks with a thigh complaint.
