Ismaila Sarr has handed Watford an injury blow.

Sarr has been ruled out for at least a month with a knee ligament injury, news that will come as a huge blow to the club.

The Hornets are currently 16th in the Premier League and have only just fought their way out of the relegation zone, in part thanks to Sarr's goals.

The club have now revealed that the Senegalese forward is out for at least a month, ruling him out for most of the busy festive period in the top flight.

He picked up the injury in the 4-1 victory over Manchester United, in which he scored and missed a penalty against the side linked with his signature last summer.

Sarr was forced off 68 minutes into the match at Vicarage Road, and missed the 4-2 defeat by Leicester at the weekend.
