Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola admits stopping Cristiano Ronaldo will be important in the Manchester derby.
City take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday, and they face the forward they could have signed in the summer from Juventus.
Instead, Ronaldo went to United, and will now hope to dent City's Premier League title chances at the weekend.
"I didn't see the United match [against Atalanta], I'm going to analyse and to see what they are so I know how good they are," said Guardiola, per ESPN, after his team's Champions League win over Club Brugge.
"We saw it last season. They have one of the best players in history, a guy who can be a scoring machine."
