Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri was happy with their 2-2 draw at Europa League opponents Olympque Marseille.

Arkadiusz Milik via the penalty spot to put OM ahead before Felipe Anderson grabbed an equaliser. Ciro Immobile then fired Lazio ahead only for Dimitri Payet to bring the scores to 2-2.

“It was a difficult match. Olympique are a very technical side, they caused us problems and we conceded the equaliser when we seemed to have the game in hand," Sarri told Sky Italia.

“It's disappointing we didn't go all the way with the victory, even though looking at the table it makes little difference, as we still need to win the last two games."

Sarri also said: "In the first half, we were somewhere between pressing and not pressing, which did damage. Either you do it or you don't. We were too late to start the press, which ruined all our movements.

“We stepped up after the break, passed better, but the performance confirms this team is improving.

“Getting a draw here is a positive result, we had some early difficulties, got the game in hand, but when we sit too deep, we become vulnerable.

“I want my team to have more courage in our passing out from the back when the opposition is pressing, because we were too timid in that tonight."
