RB Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff has shut down talk of a deal with Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards.
Off contract in June and planning to leave at the end of the season, Edwards was linked with RBL this week.
Mintzlaff has announced they're close to landing a new sporting director, though insists it won't be Edwards.
"Michael Edwards will not be our sports director," he said last night.
The position at RBL has been vacant since Markus Krosche left for Eintracht Frankfurt last summer.
