Fofana is producing career best form this season, which is attracting interest from across Europe.
The former Manchester City prospect, now 26, is being followed by Newcastle, along with AC Milan and Atalanta.
Fofana is in his second season with Lens, joining for a fee of €10m.
The midfielder has a deal with his Ligue 1 club to 2024.
